Coordinated facility planning

One facility.
Several flooring briefs.

A larger aviation property can contain public areas, aircraft spaces, technical rooms and wet-service areas. A coordinated scope records the requirements for each and connects the transitions between them.

Information to confirm before comparing flooring proposals
Workstream Record by area Why it matters
Substrate & existing finishes Concrete condition, coatings, moisture, contamination, joints and repairs. Defines removal, preparation and the foundation for the proposed resin build.
Traffic & exposure Foot and wheel movement, equipment loads, actual fluids and cleaning products. Connects system selection to the conditions in each work area.
Performance & testing Required finish, texture, static-control criteria or specified membrane performance. Identifies the product data, samples, details and acceptance checks needed for that scope.
Floor interfaces Door thresholds, drains, coves, movement joints, markings and adjoining materials. Clarifies responsibilities and continuity between connected areas.
Access & handover Security arrangements, staging, working hours, ventilation and release requirements. Builds the sequence around preparation, installation, cure and operational use.

Chemical resistance, ESD performance, traction and waterproofing depend on the selected assembly and project requirements. Confirm the relevant manufacturer's data and acceptance criteria for each specified system.

Bring the project together

A clearer brief makes
a more useful proposal.

Start with the facility location, a marked-up plan and a description of how each space operates. Include the areas that need to remain in service and any deadlines for returning equipment or occupants.

We will review the flooring scope, identify information needed for system selection and discuss the next steps for the site assessment and quotation.

Aviation project questions

Find the right
starting point.

Which aviation flooring service should I choose?

Choose by the space being coated: terminals for passenger areas, hangars for aircraft storage and MRO, aerospace and avionics for technical rooms, helipads for exposed landing surfaces, and maintenance flooring for general service and utility areas.

Can you review several areas in one project?

Yes. Send a room list or marked-up floor plan with the uses, traffic, exposures and access requirements. The proposal can identify different system directions and coordinate the interfaces and work sequence between them.

Do all aviation floors need static control or chemical resistance?

Requirements depend on the processes and substances in each area. Technical rooms may have defined ESD criteria; aircraft and service areas may have particular fluid exposures. Supply the actual requirements and product information so the proposed assembly can be reviewed.

Can work be coordinated around facility operations?

Phasing can be reviewed against approved access, site conditions and the selected system. The programme should include preparation, installation, cure and the release conditions for people, vehicles, equipment and cleaning.
