Laboratory Epoxy Flooring — Vancouver & British Columbia

Seamless • Chemical-Resistant • Cleanroom-Aware • Optional ESD

Priority One Epoxy Flooring designs and installs seamless, chemical-resistant laboratory flooring systems for clinical labs, research facilities, cleanrooms, and controlled environments across Metro Vancouver and British Columbia. Our resin floors are engineered for frequent disinfection, chemical exposure, rolling cart traffic, and strict contamination control—delivering a monolithic, non-porous surface that’s easy to sanitize and built for long service life.

Why Labs Choose Our Resinous Flooring Systems

Laboratory environments demand flooring that can handle harsh conditions without becoming a hygiene or maintenance problem. Compared with tile, vinyl, or paint-style coatings, seamless resin systems eliminate grout lines and weak seams that trap contaminants, slow cleaning, and fail under chemical exposure.

  • Chemical resistance tailored to acids, bases, solvents, disinfectants, and lab reagents.
  • Cleanroom-aware detailing with seamless terminations and optional integral cove bases.
  • Slip-tuned textures that improve safety while keeping surfaces scrub-friendly.
  • High abrasion durability for heavy cart traffic and frequent cleaning cycles.
  • Optional ESD systems for electronics, device assembly, calibration, and sensitive instrumentation zones.

Application Areas

Clinical & Diagnostic Laboratories

Seamless, non-porous floors that resist disinfectants and biofluids while remaining easy to clean between shifts and procedures.

Pharma, Biotech & Compounding Suites

Cleanroom-aware finishes suited to ISO-classified areas, anterooms, and gowning zones with strict SOPs and routine sanitation cycles.

University & Private Research

Wet chemistry and analytical labs benefit from abrasion-resistant systems that tolerate solvents, carts, and continuous use.

Electronics, Med-Device & Calibration (ESD)

Static-dissipative resin systems support sensitive equipment and reduce risk when integrated with your grounding plan and maintenance program.

Lab Flooring Systems We Recommend

Every lab has different chemical exposure, cleaning protocols, traffic loads, and compliance needs. We specify systems based on performance requirements—not a one-size-fits-all coating.

  • Self-levelling epoxy body coat for flatness, chemical holdout, and a dense monolithic surface.
  • Broadcast options (quartz/aggregate) where additional slip resistance is required.
  • Urethane or novolac topcoats for enhanced chemical resistance and abrasion performance.
  • Polyaspartic topcoats when rapid return-to-service is needed (often 24–48 hours, scope dependent).
  • Integral cove base (100–150mm typical) to remove floor-to-wall seams and speed sanitation.
  • ESD package (optional) including conductive layers and grounding, verified to your program requirements.

Fast-cure options: Polyaspartic Floor Coatings.

Our Installation Process

Performance in labs is won or lost at preparation and detailing. We test, prepare, and build systems to prevent debonding, blistering, and premature wear—then deliver documentation so your team knows what’s installed.

  1. Assessment: chemicals, cleaning SOPs, traffic, thermal cycling, and downtime planning.
  2. Testing: moisture checks, slab condition review, and contamination/adhesion risk assessment.
  3. Prep: diamond grinding or shot blasting to achieve the correct surface profile for adhesion.
  4. Repairs: cracks, spalls, joints, and weak concrete addressed before coating build-up.
  5. Build: epoxy body coat (and broadcast texture where required) plus coves/terminations.
  6. Topcoat: urethane/novolac/polyaspartic selected for chemical and wear resistance.
  7. Handover: care guidance, documentation, and warranty details.

Cleaning & Ongoing Care

Daily / Routine

  • Dry dust mop or vacuum to remove grit
  • Damp mop or auto-scrub with neutral cleaner
  • Rinse residues to preserve appearance

Periodic / ESD Areas

  • Inspect coves, penetrations, and terminations
  • Repair nicks quickly to keep the system monolithic
  • Verify resistance after repairs (ESD programs)
